Modular cupboard designs made of acrylic glass
– individual, transparent, high quality.

Storage systems made of acrylic glass

As an alternative to storage systems made of metal also storage systems made of acrylic glass can be used. The optical transparency allows a quick survey of the complete contents of the cupboard. For installation in ESD-protected areas the cupboard-system can also be manufactured of antistatic coated acrylic glass.

Cupboard design with individual chambers

The modular cupboard design is based on individual chambers in nearly any dimension desired. Several individual chambers can be combined to an individual cupboard system. The specific chamber is accessible through an acrylic glass door with magnetic sealing. In a special production-process the individual chambers are glued together gas-tight and then tempered to avoid tension cracks. The special ASYS know-how in the processing of acrylic glass is a guarantee for a long-lasting product of high quality. Many acrylic glass storage systems are in operation for 10 years and more.

Permanent nitrogen feed-in

In contrast to metal cupboards with integrated techniques of measurement and regulations, storage systems made of acrylic glass are normally equipped with a simple permanent nitrogen feed-in. Every individual compartment is constantly rinsed by nitrogen, the quantity of which is adjustable by a flow meter. Hereby the oxygen in the air of chambers is effectively displaced. The discharge of the gas-mixture is made through a micro-gap in the surrounding magnetic sealing of the door.

Automatic nitrogen feed-in

As an option storage systems made of acrylic glass can also be equipped with a steering column with automatic nitrogen feed-in. If a door is opened the relevant chamber is activated by a sensor and rinsed with an increased quantity of nitrogen via an adjustable control system for time and volume. Up to 4 individual compartments can be equipped with additional humidity-sensors. The values taken for humidity and temperature are indicated at the display of the steering column.

Options of equipment

  • Bottom plates of stainless steel as protection against scratches
  • Loose or solidly installed shelves
  • Version with tinted acrylic glass (e.g. orange) for assembly parts sensible to light
  • Movable version on castors or on cart
  • Installation of SMD roll holders

The automatic nitrogen feed-in is integrated in the steering column. The status of every individual box is signalled by light-emitting diodes. The values of humidity and temperature are shown at the display.

The doors of the individual chambers are safely closed by a surrounding magnetic sealing. It is possible to put stainless steel shelves on top of the acrylic glass shelves.
